記得在學(xué)生時(shí)代，小編經(jīng)常使用"according to"，感覺(jué)這個(gè)詞組超級(jí)百搭，百試不爽。

然而，你真的知道"according to"的正確用法嘛？

英文辭典上對(duì)"according to"的解釋是：

“According to…” is usually used when you restate something someone told you or something you have heard or read somewhere. It is mostly used for reporting.

即它往往用于重述別人的話，或者在其他地方聽(tīng)到或看到的內(nèi)容，常用于報(bào)告的寫(xiě)作中。

舉個(gè)例子：

According to the clerk we spoke to when we telephoned the supervisory authority this morning, the application was filed last week.

根據(jù)今晨我們對(duì)員工進(jìn)行的監(jiān)督權(quán)調(diào)查的電話訪談所說(shuō)，上周表格就已經(jīng)歸檔了。

它也可以用于引用不確實(shí)的消息：

如，According to the state news agency, the number of demonstrators did not exceed 1,000. However, the organisers of the protest say there were at least 100,000 people on the march.

根據(jù)官方通訊社的消息，參與游行的人數(shù)不超過(guò)1000人，而游行組織者稱，參與游行人數(shù)超過(guò)了10萬(wàn)人。

另外，“according to”也可以用來(lái)引用道聽(tīng)途說(shuō)的消息：

e.g. According to Annabel, Tom wants to dump Sarah because he really fancies Emma.

聽(tīng)安娜貝爾說(shuō)，湯姆要甩了薩拉，因?yàn)樗话斀o迷上了。

由此看來(lái)，"according to"的確不簡(jiǎn)單，難怪歪果仁有時(shí)都不能夠正確使用。
