數(shù)學(xué)與計(jì)算科學(xué)學(xué)院位于中山大學(xué)南校區(qū)，前身是始創(chuàng)于1924年的中山大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系。目前，學(xué)院下設(shè)兩個(gè)系（數(shù)學(xué)系、統(tǒng)計(jì)科學(xué)系）和五個(gè)研究機(jī)構(gòu)（計(jì)算科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、數(shù)學(xué)研究所、計(jì)算科學(xué)與計(jì)算機(jī)應(yīng)用研究所、復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)研究中心、華南統(tǒng)計(jì)科學(xué)研究中心），擁有數(shù)學(xué)、統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)兩個(gè)一級(jí)學(xué)科并形成了具有鮮明特色的優(yōu)勢(shì)學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域。學(xué)院現(xiàn)擁有一批教育部“長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者”特聘教授、國(guó)家杰出青年基金獲得者等在國(guó)內(nèi)外有一定影響力的教授和學(xué)者。

SchoolofMathematics&ComputationalSciences,originallyknownastheMathematicsDepartmentfoundedin1924,islocatedontheSouthCampusofSunYat-senUniversity.TheschoolhousestwodepartmentsandfiveresearchinstitutionsandconsistsoftwoFirstGradeDisciplines(mathematicsandstatistics),formingadistinctfeatureinitsresearchfield.Afairnumberof“ChangjiangScholars”,winnersof“TheNationalScienceFundforDistinguishedYoungScholars”aswellasotherrenownedprofessorsandscholarsareservingfortheschool.

學(xué)院積極推進(jìn)人才引進(jìn)和培養(yǎng)工作，根據(jù)學(xué)校核定及各團(tuán)隊(duì)的科研需求，現(xiàn)面向國(guó)內(nèi)外公開(kāi)招聘37名專職科研人才和博士后若干名(名額不限)。
