The Hawthorn Tree is a kind of tree with white or pink flowers. The small dark red berries on it are called haws. Haws are sour and sweet.
Children like to eat them. In autumn the haws are ripe. Hundreds of berries hang on the branches. At first they are green. But the rain and sunshine make them red soon. They are very beautiful among the green leaves.
