講解：詞語盛行于19世紀以后，但卻出自于15世紀-16世紀，海盜活動猖獗的時候。相傳海盜面目猙獰，手持兇器，牙齒間還咬著一把把尖刀。為形象生動，漢語中把它翻譯為“武裝到牙齒”，喻指全副武裝。
