The Liberal Arts Program at UM-SJTU JI (Shanghai, PR China) invites applications for full-time lecturer positions in Academic Writing and Liberal Arts. 中國上海交大密西根學(xué)院人文社科項(xiàng)目現(xiàn)開放對(duì)于學(xué)術(shù)寫作和人文教育領(lǐng)域全職講師職位的申請(qǐng)。 The UM-SJTU JI is an English-based higher education institute founded in 2006, in a collaboration between the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiaotong University. It currently offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in mechanical engineering and in electrical and computer engineering based on University of Michigan's curricula. 崗位職責(zé)

Responsibilities ?Deliver up to six classes per academic year, each class typically requires 3 to 4 lecture-hours and 2 office hours per week for a 15-week semester ?Prepare and conduct classes, design homework and supervise examinations ?Guide TAs for recitation classes and grading ?Maintain a course website containing teaching materials and information 職責(zé) 1.每學(xué)年規(guī)定的授課量為6門課程，15周的學(xué)期中，每門課程基本需要每周3到4小時(shí)的授課時(shí)間及2小時(shí)的辦公室答疑時(shí)間。 2.根據(jù)指定教學(xué)大綱備課、授課，布置作業(yè)并監(jiān)考。 3.指導(dǎo)助教開設(shè)助教課，以及作業(yè)的批改。 4.維護(hù)課程網(wǎng)頁，該網(wǎng)頁中應(yīng)包括所有教學(xué)資料及相關(guān)信息。

Successful candidates are expected to teach both writing courses and humanities or social science courses but actual ratio between these two courses is negotiable in consideration of the candidate's background and interest. While the area of specialization is open, expertise in technical communication and in specific disciplines not currently represented - such as economics, history, sociology, anthropology, and psychology - is particularly desirable. Research focus in China, in areas such as education, migration, urbanization, industrialization, and the contexts of technological innovation will be a plus. 入選的候選人將教授寫作課程和人文科學(xué)或社會(huì)科學(xué)課程。入職后，這兩種課程負(fù)責(zé)數(shù)量的實(shí)際比例可以根據(jù)候選人的背景和興趣進(jìn)一步協(xié)商。在此我們提供了所需人才專業(yè)化領(lǐng)域的大范圍，技術(shù)交流方面或其他未列出的特定學(xué)科，如經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、歷史、社會(huì)學(xué)、人類學(xué)、心理學(xué)方面的人才是我們尤其需要的。此外，研究集中在中國，方向包含教育、移民、城市化、工業(yè)化和技術(shù)創(chuàng)新的應(yīng)聘者有額外優(yōu)勢。Candidates with experience in academic administration at university level will be considered for an administrative position with reduced teaching duties.擁有在大學(xué)等級(jí)機(jī)構(gòu)管理經(jīng)驗(yàn)的候選人，將被考慮安排行政職位并減少教學(xué)職責(zé)。
