Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position at Assis. Prof. Ziyu Shao's research group, SIST

Assistant Professor Ziyu Shao and his group is currently working in three key areas of big data system: storage of big data, transmission of big data and processing of big data; including but not limited to distributed and parallel computing system, distributed optimization, stochastic optimization, distributed machine learning, networking coding, storage code, data center networks, heterogeneous wireless networking, cloud computing and mobile computing. Our group is generously funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China and Shanghai municipal government.

We invite highly motivated individuals with a Ph.D. degree to work with us on distributed storage system, distributed optimization, distributed machine learning system, resource allocation and scheduling for 5G communication system and cloud computing system.

Qualifications:

(1) PhD degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science/engineering, mathematics, operation research or related areas.

(2) Good publication track record in international conferences and journals.

(3) Good mathematical skills or system experiences.

(4) Good communication skills and capability of co-supervising research students.

(5) Fluent in oral and written English.
